Zoe-perry
Perry was born on July 25, 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of her two appearances on Roseanne. But her parents would not allow her to act until she turned an adult because of the negative effects that stress could have on their daughter. Perry admitted that she wasn't comfortable acting in high school. She began doing it to connect with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry moved to New York, where she was offered small roles in shows like Law & Order: Criminal Intent. The feeling of homesickness led Perry back to California and theater roles were in demand. Perry was a part of Broadway as a part of The Other Place with her mother in 2013. In the year 2015, she was with Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning Drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. In the year 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's crime thriller The Family. In 2017, she played a recurring role on the ABC political thriller Scandal with her father. The actress also portrayed the young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. The role was given by audition even though she has a family tie with the role.
