Annie Lennox
| Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson, and Thomas Allison Lennox were her parents. Lennox was accepted as a student at the Royal Academy of Music in London in the late 1970s. There, she learned the flute piano and harpsichord for three years. She survived on a student salary and part-time work for extra income. Lennox felt that her skills were inferior to those of other Royal Academy classmates. So she considered other routes she could choose. Lennox played flute in a 1976 band called Dragons Playground. The band broke up shortly when they were as a guest on I.T.V's the talent program New Faces. She was the singer from The Tourists a British pop group between 1977 and 1980. She was introduced to Dave Stewart, with whom formed the pop-duo Eurythmics. Lennox began working on her solo debut album Diva in 1992. Commercially and critically it was a massive achievement. Nostalgia Lennox's sixth solo album was released in November of 2014. The C.D. The C.D. comprises Lennox's favourite soul, jazz and blues songs from her early years. Lepidoptera is a collection of four original tracks for piano that Lennox released in May, 2019. The E.P. It is also a companion to her Now, I let you go... artwork in the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. This is her first self-released album. She had a small amount of successes as a part of the group known as The Tourists in the late 1970s she and fellow musician Dave Stewart went on to achieve international fame as the pop duo Eurythmics in the late 1980s. Lennox's 1992 debut album Diva featured a myriad of smash songs that included Why as well as Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa the album from 1995 studio has covers of the songs No MoreI Love Yous or A Whiter Shade of Pale. Six solo studio albums and one compilation album, can be found on her discography. |
