Lisa Olivia Munn grew up in Oklahoma City. Kimberly Schmid lived in Vietnam with Chinese origins, and Winston Barrett Munn's family has origins deep within the American South. Her parents divorced when she was just the age of two. She was raised by her mother as well as her stepfather who is a United States Air Force officer. Even though the family moved out of Oklahoma and stayed in various areas, she was educated within Tokyo, Japan. In Japan, she acted as an actress at local theater performances and then was an Japanese fashion model. After the family returned home to United States, Olivia moved to Los Angeles to pursue her aspirations of becoming a professional actress.
